My field software already has missed-call text-back. Why would I pay you?
Because a feature is not a system. If somebody switched it on, it fires — with whatever message was written the day it was configured, to whoever happens to have the app open. Nobody maintains it, nobody checks whether it actually fired, and nobody follows up when the customer replies three days later. More to the point, it does nothing about the half of this that decides whether your phone rings at all: your website, your Google page and your local search. Text-back is the cheapest thing I do. It is the thing I guarantee because it is the thing I can timestamp — it is not the thing you are paying for.
Why should I trust a company this new?
Be careful, and I would rather say why myself: I have no case studies yet, and you would be one of my first clients. What I do have is the other side of this. I ran an irrigation company that paid a national marketing agency thousands a month on a year-long contract, so I know exactly what that is like to sign and what you actually get for it. This is the version I wanted to buy. It is also why the audit is free, why there is no setup fee, and why nothing comes off your card until you have seen the finished work and told me to go ahead.
Do you run this on your own company?
Not the getting-found half, and I am not going to pretend otherwise. My irrigation company's marketing sits with that agency on a contract that predates ServiceAlly, so those results are not mine to claim. What I will do instead is test yours in front of you — I call your number and time how long a reply takes, and I read your own listings back to you. That is a better test than anything I could tell you about my business.
What is the Founding Five, and what happens after twelve months?
The price is $1,000 a month. The first five clients pay $500 — half — for their first twelve months, and then move to the standard $1,000. That is the whole deal. You are taking a chance on somebody who cannot show you a single case study, so you should not pay what somebody pays once I can. In exchange for the half-price year I ask two things: that you let me publish your numbers, and that you introduce me to two people in the trade. If you would rather not do either, you can pay the standard $1,000 and owe me nothing.
Do I have to replace Jobber, Housecall Pro or ServiceTitan?
No. Both systems are built to sit alongside the tools you already use. They work on getting found and on responding; your field software keeps doing dispatch, invoicing and job management.
Can I buy just one of the two systems?
No, and that is deliberate. They solve two halves of the same problem — being found is worthless if nobody answers, and answering fast is worthless if nobody calls. Splitting them would let you pay me to fix half of something. One price, both systems, everybody gets all of it.
Do you guarantee more jobs or more revenue?
No, and be careful with anyone who does. I guarantee the actions the systems perform: the missed-call text back, the lead capture, the follow-up and the review requests. Your service quality, pricing, availability and market decide the rest.
A thousand a month is a lot. Why is it worth that?
It is worth it or it is not, depending on what a job is worth to you, which is why there is a calculator on this page that uses your number instead of mine. For most irrigation and home-service work the whole year costs less than two or three jobs. What I would not do is tell you it pays for itself — that depends on your pricing and how you sell. What I will tell you is that contractors are generally advised to put 5 to 10% of revenue into marketing, and at $1,000 a month a business doing $1.5m is spending under 1%.
What do I not get for $1,000 that a bigger agency would give me?
Three things, and you should know them before you decide. I do not run your paid advertising, so if you want Google Ads managed, that is somebody else. You do not get an account team — you get me, which is faster when you need an answer and worse if you want somebody to escalate to. And you do not get a forty-page monthly report; you get one page you will actually read. Agencies charging $1,500 to $5,000 a month are largely charging for the ad management and the account team. If you need those, pay for them.
Is there a setup or activation fee?
No. No setup fee, no build fee, no activation fee — and that includes building the website. A card goes on file when you start, and nothing is charged until you have seen the finished systems and told me to go ahead.
How long am I locked in?
You are not. Month to month, cancel any month, no exit fee. If you leave, I hand over your website files, your domain, your Google profile and your phone number within a week.
